Description
The project responds to the challenge of improving the efficiency of state administration and civil society. It focuses on building the capacities of elected representatives as well as local government and local government in selected regions of Ukraine. Selected local government officials who already have training experience will be trained in methods of engaging citizens in planning and decision-making processes. The result of the project will be 22 trained coaches, who will then take at least 44 trainings at local government offices. The final beneficiaries of capacity building are people in public administration who, thanks to decentralization reforms, have more competencies, opportunities and the need to involve citizens in decision-making on cities and municipalities. Together, at least 660 people from the public administration will be trained. The result will be improved co-operation with citizens in the field of participatory planning, reception and processing of inputs, cooperation with civil organizations and local business. Thanks to the training in Slovakia, the trainers will also learn about the Slovak experience in this area, they will visit local authorities and various projects of participatory development of towns and villages. Upon completion of the training, the trainer will be trained to continue training under other local partner projects.
