Anti-malnutrition center in Kibeho is run by Sisters Missionaries of St. Vincent Pallotti as a part of a network of center, which are dedicated to help the poorest people in Rwanda. The volunteer will be helping the social worker with fulfillment of the main goals of the center during his stay. Aim of the anti-malnutrition center is to look for under nourished children from the poorest families, to provide rehabilitation program for them and their mothers and to offer complex specialized education on whether health or spreading these ideas. The center is also focused on effective education of mothers through inclusion in so called social workshops. Volunteer will get experience in work in multicultural environment and in ability to adapt to non-standard conditions. Acquired knowledge can be utilisied in further activities in developing countries or in non-government sector. Submitted project is due to the lack of experts and social workers in the region focused on support of local capacity-building as well. Important factor of the project is the support of partnerships between organizations and communities in Rwanda. Project provides ideal environment for volunteer activities and offers adequate conditions.
