Official Development Aid (ODA)

Developed countries such as Slovakia show solidarity with people living in less developed areas of the world and accept their share of responsibility for solving global problems. Slovak development cooperation, an integral part of the country‘s foreign policy, comprises all publicly and privately funded activities that contribute to poverty reduction and sustainable development. As a member of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Slovakia pursues development cooperation in compliance with the basic principles defined by the OECD‘s Development Assistance Committee (OECD DAC), one of which is transparency. To honor its commitment to this principle, Slovakia has recently developed a complex and coherent IT system of recording and statistical reporting, displayed on this website. The information published here reflects the data reported annually to the OECD DAC.
