Assessed contribution of the Slovak Republic to ITU for 2019. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is a specialised professional organisation at the UN that has 193 member states and more than 700 members of the sectors and associated members. The ITU has 3 sectors: standardisation, radiocommunications and the telecommunications development sector. The main focus of the ITU is the concept of development of electronic communications, the reorganization of spectrum use, the allocation of frequency bands, numbering plans, uniform rules for the development of telecommunications, coordination of legislation, international coordination of regulatory activities and cooperation in the field of electronic communications.
