Aim of the project
is to provide for Afghanistan Slovak experience from transition process, Security Sector Reform, civil- military relations and building up of civil society with an accent on creation of space and conditions for education in this filed at selected Afghan universities.
The main activities of the project are:
Afghan civil society – report (20 pages + attachments)
2.1 Workshops on Slovak experience from implementation of study of security issues with
an accent on Security Sector Reform and the place of this issue in education at Slovak
universities: 2 – 3 workshops at 2 – 3 Afghan universities and other institutions of
education (Army and police units) for 30 participants
2.2 Promotion, implementation process and selection of participants of study trip
2.3 Study Trip around Slovakia- 1 academics and students, 10- day trip, at least 6 – 8 Slovak universities, institutions of governmental ang NGO institutions visited,
3.1 Seminar in Slovakia on security issues study at Slovak and Afghan universities- looking for possible ways of cooperation between partners from both countries- 2 participants
3.2 Working out of education program draft (curriculum) and other study materials in the field of SSR for Afghan universities (publication in a range of at least 200 pages, 4- 5 policy papers in a range up to 100 pages)
3.3 Concluding workshops – expert discussion about project goals achieved and reflexion of further needs – 2/3 workshops in Afghanistan for 60 representatives of academic (university) community organised in cooperation with participants of study trip
3.4 Consultation support for Afghan academic field
