The contractor has invented unique product Aquaholder for agriculture with aim to hold water in the soil to decrease need for irrigation and rainfall. Product has been already tested in central Europe climate conditions. In Slovakia it was successfully introduced on the market. There is a great potential for the product especially in arid areas of Afghanistan specific for low rainfall and restricted possibilities of irrigation. The goals of Research Project are: 1) to research on effect of Aquaholder Seed on germination percentage of Seeds of Cereals/Pulses, 2) To find out the effect of Aquaholder Agro on reducing water requirement of crops during growth season. 3) To find out whether it’s effective economically for farmers to use Aquaholder Products or not? 3) To find out Aquahoder effectiveness under climate and cropping systems of Herat Province
