Description
With practically no actual systemic support for children with special needs, the kindergarten staff without training and parents lacking information, the main goal is to sustainably establish a first good practice example in the region. Main goals: First, to build capacities of the infrastructure on-site (renovate and equip a special room in the Kingergarden #2 in the town Martivili (2store-building, currently not up to standards), which would be made accessible to children and parents from surrounding neighborhoods. Second, the Research Institute is renowned as inclusion leader with its Children Centre project (ISKA – integrated group of pre-school children) – the goal is to replicate key good practice in Georgia, through training of 10 multipliers (experienced psychologists, trainers and teachers from municipalities in the Samegrelo region) and subsequently through these multipliers training of the staff in the nearby kindergartens. Project counts with networking with the Bridge for Social Inclusion organization in the town of Kutaisi. Integral part of the methodological support (apart from practical training) shall be online study visits of Slovak kindergartens and instructional videos with commentary – thus we shall secure sustainiability and accessibility of the materials even after the project. Indicators: - Building/Strengthening capacities of state, local and regional municipalities and citizens (Renovation and equipment of the special room in the Kindergarten #2, made available to all special needs children in the area) - Impact on 112 children in the Martivili kindergarten - Min. 10 multipliers (min 10% men) successfully trained by the Research Institute - Min. 20 staff members (min 10% men) successfully trained by the multipliers (impact on min. 3 kindergartens, 300-350 children) - Min. 100 parents (min 30% men) attending 5 informational seminars organized by psychologist
