Description

The project will improve the health of the population and save people’s lives, with a special emphasis on children and mothers, by making quality health and preventive care available. Achieving thes goal will be reflected nationwide in the higher number of averted deaths and health complications caused by missing or incorrect managment of the urgent patient. Specific objective 1: make emergency medicine available to patients, ambulance transport, 24-hour emergency care. Patients in West Pokot Province, especially pastoral tribes, have almost inaccessible emergency care. The most at risk group are women and children, where maternal mortality at the first home birth is up to 20 percent. The presented project will bring for these people emergency medicine right home. The ambulance will be used for trips to patients but also for transports to other medical facilities. Measurable indicator 1: 1000-1500 treated patients/transported patients to health centers. Activity 1.1: selection of a suitable ambulance; Activity 1.2: purchase and delivery of an ambulance; Activity 1.3: ambulance equipment; Activity 1.4: launch of the emergency service 24/7 into operation, establishment and operation of the urgent line; Activity 1.5: ambulance operation. Dr. David Roden Tikit Mission Health Center, Masol, Sigor, West Pokot area Kenya will be the primary ambulance site available for the Central Pokot sub-area. Result 1: improvement of the quality of urgent health care through the creating health infrastructure – ambulance. Specific objective 2: to increase the capacity of the health center and its staff in emergency medicine. Our goal is to increase the equipment of the Tikit Mission Medical Center through an ambulance and increase the capacity of its employees. Activity 2.1: employment of new employees (nurses and ambulance drivers – men/women); Activity 2.2: training of 6 employees in the Red Cross in the field of emergency medicine and patient transport; Activity 2.3: training of medical staff in the use of digital technologies in the provision of field healthcare. Result 2: increasing staff capacity/Capacity building of local medical staff. Specific objective 3: to support digital solutions in the healthcare sector. The operation and equipment of the ambulance will be capable of digital transmissions for consultation with specialists. The proposed project will create 5 measures to digitize health care. Activity 3.1: purchase of digitization technology; Activity 3.2: use of digitization to increase the quality of health service – transfer of records between the ambulance and the specialist. Result 3: informatization and digitization of health care. Specific objective 4: raising awareness of environmental protection. Activity 4.1: theoretical seminar on nature protection and the consequences of emissions on the environment; Activity 4.2: practical part of the seminar: carbon compensation of ambulance ride _tree planting. Result 4: raising awareness of environmental protection, environmental protection, carbon offsets.
