Description

As part of the "Democratic Partnership Challenge" under the auspices of the Community of Democracies (CD) aimed to assist the transition to democracy Slovakia and the Netherlands co-chaired the Task Force Tunisia. The aim of this activity was to help Tunisia with the transitional period to contribute to the shaping of Tunisia as a success story of changes in the region of North Africa. Tunisia after a period of authoritarian government has been trying to introduce democratic change and provided a list of areas in which sees its reform priorities: (a) security sector reform, (b) judicial reform, (c) public administration reform, (d) promoting regional development and (e ) the development of civil society.
