The Overall Objective of activity was to strengthen capacity of selected Moldovan municipalities to promote effective pro-active local economic development (LED) policies, aiming to contribute to a largely socio-economic recovery of the Republic of Moldova.
More specifically, the study visit targeted the following objectives:
- To facilitate the knowledge transfer and sharing of experience between the Slovak and Moldovan municipalities in initiating and promoting LED projects
- To strengthen the professional capacities of 6 active Moldovan mayors in promoting LED
- To strengthen the non-formal partnership and cooperation between ‘LED’ actors from Moldovan and Slovak Republic.
The study visit targeted the participation of 6 active mayors - partners of UNDP/MiDL Project.
