The aim of the project was to promote democratic civil society in Belarus with an emphasis on respect for freedom of expression and to receive and impart information and ideas. The project aimed to maintain the standards of the journalistic profession in a situation where the majority of Belarusian mass media are used as a tool of mass propaganda.
