The education system at the university in Bratislava will be expanded in relation with crime prevention through environmental design, the relationship between architecture/urbanism and urban safety, and in the relation with changes in design in the context of new safety measures in the society. The workshops have both a theoretical and a practical part. On the practical side we will deal with specific problematic areas in these cities. The project will be presented and discussed with local authorities, with the ultimate aim of becoming a physical reality by means of its real implementation in those areas. The proposal includes a publication on urban safety, including results of the workshops, which will be a handbook for students of architecture and urbanism.
