Description
The project responds to the specific objective of the call, which is to promote good governance. It focuses on the cooperation of Uzhgorod Municipal Authority with the public and representatives of the non-governmental sector in order to increase the level of transparency and to increase the level of institutional trust. Employees of selected departments of the Uzhgorod Municipal Authority will be trained in communication with the public. 12 selected staff members who come into contact with the public in their activities will be trained. At the same time, an assessment of the activities of 10 selected departments of the Uzhgorod Municipal Authority will be carried out to analyse the existing state of public communication with the aim of designing system actions in the field. The Communication Strategy will be developed under the leadership of a team of Ukrainian and Slovak experts with active involvement of the participants in the training program. 5 business meetings will take place during strategy development. Within the project a joint training program will be implemented for the staff of the Municipal Authority, municipal organizations and representatives of the non-governmental sector. Thanks to the training in Slovakia, the participants will also learn about the Slovak experience in this area, they will visit local authorities and various projects of participatory development of towns and municipalities. Lecturers will be experts from Slovakia, but also experts from Ukraine will be involved in the training. Output of this activity will be 7 trainings and 16 trained persons. For the purpose of transferring experience with the implementation of the grant schemes, a micro-grant scheme will be prepared and implemented, under the guidance of the applicant and in cooperation with representatives of the partner organization, through which min. 3 projects will be supported in total fund of 3,000 EUR. Successful projects will be presented at the final conference.
