The scope of AgeVolt e-mobility solution in Kenya project is to prepare the ground conditions for implementation of EV charging solution and contribute to Kenya’s developing electric vehicle ecosystem. It will also create a starting point for development of our innovative business in the wider African region. Project is implemented by AgeVolt Slovakia, s.r.o., Bratislava and the partner, Manyur Technologies Limited, Nairobi. The primary objective of this project is to contribute towards the environmental protection through CO2 reduction and promoting usage of renewable solar energy. It is aligned to the UN SDGs by positively impacting the local economy & creation of business partnerships (SDG No. 8); new job opportunities for women and men in the field of electromobility (SDG No. 5); Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG No. 9); Environment and Climate Change (SDG No. 13). We plan to implement the B category project in the Realization category of the call. The main activities will consist of the following: 1. obtain information on local conditions for the production and sale of AgeVolt solutions in Kenya (MI1 Analysis); 2. find local producers, installation and business partners and to set the conditions for long-term cooperation (MI2 Number of meetings; MI3 Number of business trips made); 3. customise the technical solution to local conditions and to produce the first 5 prototypes of the AgeVolt solution (MU4 Number of prototypes produced and tested); 4. present a locally produced AgeVolt charging solution and to raise awareness on a new approach to EV charging by representatives of public institutions and the private sector (MI 5 Number of participants in workshops, presentations and round tables). The project target groups are the representatives of the potential business partners and public institutions, equally women and men in Kenya. The primary place of pilot project implementation will be in Nairobi before expansion in other parts of Kenya and wider Africa.
