Center of the Pallotine Brothers is involved in development of local population and community through various social projects in cooperation with University of St. Elizabeth of Health and Social Sciences. The goal of this Centre is to look for children from the poorest families, eligible for adoption from afar. The volunteer will be also involved in building a network of socially active and educated local volunteers and ensuring and researching income possibilities for poor families. Important aspect of the volunteer’s work will be social help and social services in the town of Kibeho as well. Volunteer will be teaching English and French in the local community. This way he/she will obtain experience with work in multicultural environment and with the ability to adapt to non-standard conditions. Acquired knowledge can be utilisied in further activities in developing countries or in non-government sector. Submitted project is due to the lack of experts and social workers in the region focused on support of local capacity-building as well. Important factor of the project is the support of partnerships between organizations and communities in Rwanda. Project provides ideal environment for volunteer activities and offers adequate conditions.
