St. Cecilia Orphanage in Ha Buasono near Maseru is provider of health and social care for orphans in Lesotho. There is a lack of experts and social workers in the region, thus the focus of the project on support of local capacity building as well. Volunteer will be a part of international team and he will take part in the spreading of know-how and experience. Main aim of the volunteer's activities is to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in realization particular project activities in a developing country. The volunteer will participate in social activities in the orphanage, organize free-time activities for children and voluntary education with the aim of better integration of children in the society. The volunteer will also take part in securing functioning of the orphanage and its supplying. Important will be regular meetings of orphanage personnel, where he/she will take part in analysing particular activities and propose possible solutions.
